I am sure you will find plenty of places for accommodation even if you directly land there without any booking in advance. You might wanna try it unless you aren't carrying too much stuff on you. Only thing I seem to recall is that we got to this place by following a very small alley just beside a plush spa-hotel somewhere in the middle of Jiufen old street.
